Schoolhouse Rock was an educational animated musical educational short film (and later, videos) that aired during the Saturday morning children’s programming block on the U.S. television network ABC from 1973- 1985 with later revivals.

The idea for Schoolhouse Rock for the series created by David McCall was inspired by one of his sons who was having trouble in school remembering the multiplication tables and knew all the lyrics to then-current rock songs.

Michigan J. Frog is an animated cartoon character who debuted in the Merrie Melodies cartoon One Froggy Evening on December 31, 1955, partly inspired by a 1944 Cary Grant film entitled Once Upon a Time,

Fashionably dressed in a top hat, and sporting a c cane he sings catchy ragtime, songs, dances, and performs acrobatics. while dancing and performing acrobatics in circus style.

“He was also a former mascot of The WB Television Network from that year until 2005, and after The Night of Favourites and Farewells, he was shown as the final image of a white silhouette bowing down to viewers, bringing up The CW Television Network.” Wikipedia
