World’s Largest Rubik’s Cube

Behold! A custom-made record-breaking GIANT Rubik’s cube!
And yes – it does spin and turn just like the tiny ones do!

Creative builder Tony Fisher from the UK, a lifelong puzzle fan Tony Fisher created the World’s Largest Rubik’s cube. Measureing a whopping 1.57 m tall, 1.57 m wide, and 1.57 m long!

It took Tony just two months to construct his fully functional Rubik’s Cube at his home in Suffolk
He demonstrated it to Guinness World Records to prove that it works too by attempting to solve it – not an easy feat when the puzzle weighs about 100 kg.

We all know how much patience it takes just to set up dominos.

That’s why watching this incredible chain reaction trick shot is so mesmerizing!

Created by the fun-loving folks at Crazy. They set up 50 fun steps to make this cool video that finishes with a trick shot!

They used a process called  “screen linking”, meaning it was not all set up at the same time. Instead, the shots were filmed at different times and edited together.

The Worlds Biggest Miniature Railroad

Shrink down and take a tour of the world’s biggest miniature railroad “Miniatur Wunderland”; located in Hamburg, Germany.

This incredible tourist attraction holds an incredible 15,400 meters of track/
To put that into perspective, the length of the train set is enough to get you to the top of Mount Everest – and 6,000 m back down the other side!

The trains make up part of an enormous miniature world that spans eight countries including miniature versions of Germany, the US, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, parts of Finland, Switzerland, and Italy with more countries to come.

This ironically massive miniature land holds over  2,633 figurines, 4,340 buildings, 130,000 trees, and takes visitors through many different city and nature landscapes across the world.

It also has roads, with 11,000 moving cars, its own airport, with 60 planes that take off and land, and 1300 miniature trains!

Miniatur Wunderland took over five years to create and fine-tune the programming for the trains and airplanes and takes has its own dedicated control centre, with 50 computers that track and control the planning. Source Guinness Book of World Records

The Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen (1891–1958), a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began making wooden toys in 1932. In 1934, his company came to be called “Lego”, derived from the Danish phrase “leg godt,” which means “play well”.

In 1947 The company expanded to begin producing plastic toys and bricks we know today. See the story unfold in this neat short film by LEGO!

In 1827 English architect &engineer Peter Hubert Desvignes developed his “Speiragraph”, a machine to create elaborate spiral drawings, intended to prevent bank note forgeries
This became the spark inspiration for the fun Spirograph Toy we know today!
